Would give 0 stars if that was an option. This school seriously needs a reality check. Check the news, the threatened to aresst a girl with a 4.4 GPA over a shirt that showed her SHOULDERS. They suspended her for 10 days and refused to allow her to walk graduation, and she has many hard earned scholarships that are now on jeopardy all because of a shirt. This should needs to rethink its policies and realize what year it is. The principal should also be fired if not willing to change her ways, it's pathetically sad that people in the world still exist who would punish a highly intelligent and hard working girl over bearing her shoulders.
The fact that ANYONE was suspended over a top that showed shoulders is completely and utterly disgusting. That someones appearence and hiding their body is more important than their education is appaling, especially from someone so clearly dedicated. If others cannot control themselves by seeing a shoulder, the problem is not the one wearing the shirt. You tell these girls how to dress, how many times have you told boys to maintain a respectful attitude? You should not be teaching girls that their bodies are inherently sexual or inappropriate. They are people, not objects. The thought that 'boys will be boys' teaches women to change so they dont fear men, when we should be teaching men to respect women. Correct me if im wrong, but i have never once heard anyone say "OMG ITS A SHOULDER I CANNOT FOCUS THE SKIN IS TOO MUCH FOR ME HER BEAUTIFUL SHOULDERS I CANT TAKE IT". If this does occur, maybe try sending THAT person home.

My daughter is a sophomore at HRHS and we have been very pleased. It's sad to see all these bad reviews over one incident that most do not have all the facts on. The dress code may be a little over the top...but as with most things you give kids an inch they will take a mile. If you are in High School to work hard and get an education this is a good school. As for all the 1 star student reviews...these kids would be miserable no matter what school they attended.

The only problem with this school is the entitled children complaining about having to follow rules. I will be vehemently advocating school uniforms at future PTA meetings with gender-neutral choices so these issues will never crop up again.
That said, the academic-focused mindset here is a relief to me (a parent). Moving here from a school which spent more time on cultural inclusiveness and feelings than on the actual education of students has resulted in a child who was failing most of her classes to a child almost back on the honor roll.
